Description
Most high voltage vehicle training focuses on the diagnosis and repair of batteries, motors, and other high voltage systems. This seminar is for everyone else! Most of the service and repair work that needs to be performed has nothing to do with high voltage, so a very different kind of training is needed. This seminar was developed to help all workers that handle EVs and hybrids - maintenance technicians (including those who want to progress to high voltage training), tow truck drivers, detailers, and anyone else who might ask the questions: What can I safely touch, and how do high voltage systems change the way I do that? Even simple tasks such as vehicle lifting may require a little extra knowledge. Brake pad replacement? Fluid service? Those too! Even running through a car wash may require some extra steps. Specific topics include:
- Labels and other warning information
- Tech level requirements per task
- Rolling & towing problems & solutions
- Starting, shifting, one-pedal driving, modes and other funky EV & hybrid features
- Extensive charging info, including user selected time and level settings
- Best practices, gloves & tools
- Disabling & verification
- Normal services discussions
This seminar and 144-page manual are filled with examples of how to safely and quickly work in and around high voltage vehicles. But there’s no way to cover every topic on every vehicle, so just as importantly, we discuss the questions to ask and where to find the answers for each vehicle. It’s not always in service information!
