Description
Ford Part 2: Intro to Mechanical, Fuel & Emissions
Part 2 of this Ford Engine Performance webinar starts with the most common mechanical faults and the easiest ways to diagnose them. This is followed by detailed information about Ford’s various port and direct injection systems, including low and high pressure systems and differences between generations of Ford systems. These fuel topics also include feedback fuel control factors such as oxygen and air/fuel sensors and fuel trim. Lastly, we’ll cover Ford-specific EVAP systems and unravel the mysteries of EVAP monitors. This webinar, along with Part 1 covering misfiring and engine breathing, is the best way to build a solid knowledge of Ford engine management systems.
Optional Webinar Manual:
Parts 1 & 2 of this Ford webinar are based on ATG’s 462-page Ford Engine Performance manual, and contains many Scan Tool and Lab Scope captures. The manual makes a great reference back in the shop, since it gives you a variety of diagnostic choices to choose from for each system when the next Ford rolls into the shop.
