Ford Part 1:  Intro to Misfiring & Breathing Faults

Part 1 of this Ford Engine Performance webinar covers the foundations you need to understand the components, systems, and interactions that result in misfiring and uneven cylinder contribution, and well as engine air management and the resulting breathing-based faults. Specific misfire coverage includes ignition systems and diagnostics, position sensors, and deciding between other possible causes. Breathing fault coverage includes MAF and MAP diagnostics, as well as how other faults affect each sensor differently. As a bonus, you’ll also get much clearer explanations of the many turbocharger variations and variable intake manifolds – Ford’s documentation is a little erratic!

Optional Webinar Manual:

Parts 1 & 2 of this Ford webinar are based on ATG’s 462-page Ford Engine Performance manual, and contains many Scan Tool and Lab Scope captures. The manual makes a great reference back in the shop, since it gives you a variety of diagnostic choices to choose from for each system when the next Ford rolls into the shop.

ATG WEBINAR POLICY: No refunds for the webinar or webinar related manuals once purchased.
